MAPS Club Executive Board for 2022-2023
President: Yanely Bolanos
Hi! My name is Yanely Bolaños and I am the President for MAPS. I am a senior at the UA majoring in Biochemistry and Spanish with a minor in Public Health. I have been a part of this club since my freshman year. I work as a desk receptionist for the UA, do research on HPV, I am a Arizona ambassador, and I’m also a 2021 SHPEP Alumni. I was also part of the PX internship at Banner last school year. One of my favorite places to volunteer at is George Mark's Children home back home. I am super excited for the new club year. My goal is to go to medical school and become either an emergency medicine or sports medicine doctor. If you have any questions about what classes to take, how to get involved with research, volunteering, shadowing, and clinical work or just want to talk to someone feel free to reach me out! I am looking forward to meeting you all!!!

Vice President : Rotimi Odeneye
My name is Rotimi Odeneye and I will be vice president of MAPS this school year. I am a junior at the UA honors college majoring in physiology and medical sciences with a minor in biochemistry. I joined this club my freshman year of college to make friends and connect with other pre-medical students. I work as a COVID ambassador for the University of Arizona, volunteer at organizations like Zmansion, and I’m also a 2021 SHPEP Alumni. A fun fact about me is I make flipbooks with an aspiration to make them for Children’s Hospitals! If you have any questions about SHPEP, flipbooks, need help with classes, or just need someone to talk to, let me know! My career goal is to either become a PA or go to medical school to become a gastroenterologist.
Treasurer: Esperanza Valencia
Hi! My name is Esperanza Valencia and I am the Treasurer for the 2022-2023. I am a sophomore majoring in Psychological Science and minoring in Spanish and Health & Human Values. I am also involved in multicultural greek life, Women in Medicine and Science. As treasurer I oversee fundraisers as well as the budget and spending of MAPS!
Secretary: Ethan Diego McNew
My name is Ethan McNew and I am the Secretary for MAPS! My peers know me as a dedicated friend, future health professional, and lifelong humanitarian! I’m a Sophomore at the University of Arizona studying Molecular and Cellular Biology, with an interest in medicine and bio plastic technology. Outside of school, I love cooking with friends, going on hikes, and drawing!
Community Outreach: Jola Adaralegbe
Hi! My name is Jola Adaralegbe and I am UA MAPS's Community Outreach Chair for the 2022-2023 session! I am a Junior majoring in Physiology & Medical Science and pursuing a minor in Public Health. I look forward to playing my role within MAPS and contributing to the success of our club! My role as Community Outreach Chair involves organizing and implementing volunteer and social events for MAPS.
